It seems that the T60 series that i own had a batch with rather inferior fans (i've read it somewhere in a forum).
Other than that, I've got absolutely no complaints. And i'm a real Thinkpad fan... :)

Interesting. I've been using ThinkPads forever (I think the X200s I'm using now is my sixth or seventh ThinkPad, my third X-series) and I've never had to dismantle them that far yet. Once or twice a year, I just remove the keyboard and scrub the crap out. Keyboards are also the only thing on ThinkPads that "wear down" on me.
